Deze indrukwekkende antieke eettafel is vervaardigd in de Neo-Louis XIV-stijl, waarschijnlijk daterend uit de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw. De tafel is gemaakt van massief hardhout en vertoont alle kenmerken van de 19e-eeuwse historiserende revival, geïnspireerd op de weelderige Franse barok. De tafel is uitschuifbaar met twee extra middenbladen, waardoor hij eenvoudig kan worden uitgebreid voor grotere gezelschappen. Het klassieke uitschuifmechanisme met houten geleiders functioneert soepel, en de tafel is voorzien van uitklapbare extra poten voor stabiliteit bij volledig gebruik.
Bijzonderheden:

Rijk gedetailleerde poten met balustervorm en gesnede versieringen, kenmerkend voor de Louis XIV-stijl.
Originele constructie: het tafelblad en mechanisme kunnen los worden genomen van de poten en onderconstructie (één massief deel).
Goede staat: de tafel vertoont een mooie patina en gebruikssporen die passen bij zijn leeftijd en normaal gebruik. Er zijn geen recente restauraties of veranderingen aangebracht.
Stevig en functioneel: de tafel staat stabiel, ook zonder de extra poten.
