A bi-folio manuscript, each folio sized 12x6.5cm, from a Kashmiri Book of Prayers (C1805). Left folio 9 lines of naskh script, right folio 8 lines of script with illuminated decorative floral Chapter heading in white Thuluth script, surrounded in gold with floral book ends, at the bottom of the folio. Simple gold circular 'aya' mark the verses. Each line of scripture is separated by a thick horizontal line in gold. Each is framed with decorative floral borders and multi-coloured frame lines. Diacritical markings in red throughout provide devotional guidance. 

The scripture on the left folio calls on Hanan (الحَنَّانُ) and Mannan (المَنَّانُ) whom, In Kashmiri prayers and Islamic tradition,  are divine attributes of God, meaning "The Tender-Hearted, The Compassionate" and "The Bountiful, The Tremendously Bestower" respectively. Reciting "Ya Hannan Ya Mannan" invokes these names of Allah to ask for His mercy, blessings, and to seek the granting of one's duas (supplications). 

the scripture on the right folio folio quotes a passage from the Qur'an, Chapter 78, An-Naba (The Momentous News), describing the Day of Judgement, a day when only those permitted by the Most Merciful will speak the truth. It emphasizes the consequences for disbelievers, depicting them as wishing they could have chosen a different path. 

The overall quality is good with good colouring and fine naskh script.
