Icône russe de Saint Nicolas avec oklad en argent et dorure, poinçonnée – Moscou, 1883

Petite icône portative représentant Saint Nicolas le Thaumaturge, bénissant de la main droite et tenant l’Évangile ouvert de la main gauche. La peinture est exécutée à tempera sur bois, protégée par un oklad (revetement) en argent repoussé et ciselé, avec auréole dorée ajourée.

Dans les écoinçons supérieurs figurent le Christ bénissant et la Mère de Dieu, tenant l’Évangile et l’omophorion, conformément à l’iconographie traditionnelle.

Le revêtement en argent porte plusieurs poinçons bien lisibles sur le bord inférieur :
	•	“84” : titre russe garantissant l’argent à 875/1000, en usage dans l’Empire russe.
	•	Poinçon de ville : Moscou (Saint-Georges terrassant le dragon, visible).
	•	Lettre-date : 1883.
	•	Poinçon de maître-orfèvre : « А.С. » (A.S.), probablement identifié à un orfèvre moscovite actif à la fin du XIXe siècle.
	•	Poinçon de contrôleur : apposé par l’atelier d’essai, confirmant l’authenticité et la teneur en argent.

Travail raffiné, avec décor gravé de motifs géométriques et floraux. Le nimbe doré en ajour souligne la figure de saint Nicolas, conférant une belle présence lumineuse.
	•	Origine : Russie, Moscou.
	•	Époque : datée 1883.
	•	Technique : tempera sur bois, oklad en argent (875/1000) partiellement doré.
	•	Dimensions : environ [à mesurer, sans doute 15 × 12 cm].

État : usure et petites altérations à la peinture visibles sur les carnations, argent patiné, poinçons parfaitement lisibles.
