Dit fraaie antieke crucifix dateert uit het einde van de 19e eeuw en is een prachtig voorbeeld van religieuze kunst en vakmanschap. Het corpus en de omlijstende figuren zijn uitgevoerd in messing en tonen Christus aan het kruis, geflankeerd door Maria en Johannes. Onderaan is een medaillon met het Heilig Hart van Jezus afgebeeld, omringd door de symbolen Alpha en Omega.

Het geheel is bevestigd op een degelijk eikenhouten paneel, wat het crucifix een warme en karaktervolle uitstraling geeft. De rijke details in de messing decoratie komen mooi tot hun recht tegen de donkere achtergrond van het hout.

Met een afmeting van 32 x 17 x 3 cm is dit een indrukwekkend maar toch handzaam object, ideaal om aan de muur te hangen of een prominente plek in een devotiehoek of interieur te geven.

De combinatie van messing en eikenhout, samen met de doorleefde patina, geeft dit crucifix zijn authentieke, antieke uitstraling. Een bijzonder verzamelstuk dat niet alleen religieuze betekenis draagt, maar ook esthetische waarde toevoegt aan iedere ruimte.
