Fraai polychroom gipsen beeld van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van het Heilig Hart, gesigneerd Van den Bussche. Dit type wordt traditioneel geassocieerd met de devotie rond de abdij van Averbode, waar de verering van Maria onder deze titel sterk verspreid werd.

Maria is voorgesteld als gekroonde koningin, met rijk gedrapeerd kleed in rood en blauw, terwijl zij het Jezuskind op de arm draagt. Jezus draagt eveneens een kroon en toont het Heilig Hart, symbool van zijn liefde en verlossing.

Aan Maria’s voeten kronkelt de slang, symbool van de erfzonde, die door haar wordt vertrapt als teken van overwinning. 

Het beeld is 36 cm hoog en verkeert in goede staat met sporen van gebruik en ouderdom.
