A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF GREEN TARA, EARLY QING DYNASTY.
Tibetan-Chinese, 17th-18th century. Finely cast seated in lalitasana on an elaborate double-lotus pedestal with neatly incised foliate scroll and geometric bands framed by beaded edges, the deity’s right foot resting on a separate padma issuing from the base, her right hand lowered in varada mudra and her left hand held in prithvi mudra.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and casting irregularities, minuscule nicks, light dents, rubbing and losses to gilt, losses to lotus insets and stone inlays, remnants of pigment. The base unsealed.
