Magnifique panneau indien fait d'un patchwork de soies brodées provenant de vêtements luxueux - saris, tuniques, châles - trop précieuses pour être abandonnées. Il s'agit de bordures de saris, de devantures de tuniques ou de châles de soie brodés de fils d'or, d'argent ou de soie multicolore, méticuleusement cousues sur un support stable qui lui assure une belle tenue. 
Il s'agit là d'un long travail très soigneux d'harmonisation et d'assemblage de pièces qui font de ce panneau un véritable catalogue de l'art et des techniques de broderie indienne, toutes exécutées à la main. 
Ce panneau est doublé d'un tissu de coton tissé à la main, qui provient lui aussi d'un sari plus léger, moins chaud et moins délicat qui convient pour l'usage quotidien, surtout pendant les grosses chaleurs.
L'ensemble est solide car très bien travaillé et en excellent état (jamais utilisé).
