Gerard Boersma (1976) - Bulls Fighting (painting of woman enjoying painting by Franz Marc)
Gerard Boersma is known for his paintings of people in museums looking at famous paintings.
This painting of 60 x 30 cm shows a woman enjoying a painting of bulls fighting by Franz Marc. To him bulls symbolize immense, raw, and untamed physical power and vitality. They also served as a vehicle to convey spiritual ideas, using a color theory where blue represented masculinity, yellow for femininity and joy, and red for violence or the physical world.
The work dates from 2025 and is made with acrylic on panel. Signed on the back and front and comes with a label of the artist as well as a Certificate Of Authenticity.
