Dish (2) - Porcelain - Blue and white saucers
A pair of Chinese blue and white decorated moulded saucers with scalloped rim, Kangxi (1662-1722), ca 1700, ca 2.5 cm. high and 14.1 cm. Ø.
Painted to the centre with a bird and an insect flying above a blossoming prunus tree growing on a rock, the wall with flower-shaped cartouches containing flowering prunus, the rim with diaper pattern interrupted by floral themes within oval cartouches, the outer wall with three blossom sprigs, both with rim frittings, one with short (ca 2 cm.) rim crack (images #12-13).
