Wandplaquette van een Madonna met kind van de hand van Guido Cacciapuoti. (Napels (Italië) 1892-1953 Milaan (Italië)). Het beeld stelt een moeder met kind voor in gestileerde weergave. De vormgeving is typisch Mid-century, 50ies. En daarmee geschikt voor verzamelaars van vintage interieurdecoratie of religieuze objecten. Het beeld is gesigneerd aan de onderzijde op de voorkant met een ingekraste signatuur en draagt het stempel ''Made in Italy''. Het is veelkleurig beschilderd met goud 


Aan de achterzijde is het met een serienummer gemerkt : 1133. Ook zitten er twee papieren labels op, een van de fabriek 'Grès arte Cacciapuoti', en een van een tussenhandelaar in Amsterdam en den Haag: ''Focke & Meltzer''. Focke & Meltzer was een winkel in glas en serviesgoed. Het hoofdkantoor was op Herengracht 93 in Amsterdam. Op de achterzijde zit een messing bevestigingsoogje om het op te hangen.

Guido Cacciapuoti, afkomstig uit een familie van 19e-eeuwse Napolitaanse keramisten, richtte in 1931 in Milaan het keramiekatelier 'Grès arte Cacciapuoti' op. Als beeldhouwer en artistiek directeur was hij verantwoordelijk voor de productie van succesvolle Art Deco porseleinen dierfiguren en vrouwenbeelden. Deze werden al snel gewilde verzamelaarsobjecten. Ook maakte hij een aantal bronzen beelden. Na het overlijden van Guido Cacciapuoti in 1954 werd  Silvio Righetto het artistieke talent van het bedrijf.
