This is the first work by the artist Neptvne.

The chosen subject, the giant Clytius, refers to Greek mythology 

. Usually, these mythological figures are presented in a neoclassical or antique style.

Here, Neptvne uses PLA, which introduces a very contemporary dimension. We sense a desire to marry the classical aesthetics of the bust with modern manufacturing techniques.

Shades of pink, orange, gold and blue create an iridescent, dreamlike effect. This superimposition of tones evokes an almost “cosmic” approach, as well as a vibrant mix that suggests the chaotic power of mythological giants. 

Clytius is no longer just a terrifying colossus, but an aesthetic symbol, the bearer of spiritual power. There's a contrast between the classical “monumental” aspect of the statue and the phantasmagorical vibrancy of the colors.

Battle against the established order: 
in mythology, giants often represent primordial forces that challenge the Olympian order. By choosing Clytius as his subject, the artist may wish to emphasize the idea of rebellion, of overcoming or questioning authority (religious, social and conceptual).

The use of 3D and an experimental color palette symbolizes the harmony and coexistence between ancient cultural heritage and the present day, when founding myths are constantly revisited.
