Alexis Mossa (1856–1926) was een Franse schilder, bekend om zijn werken uit de late 19e en vroege 20e eeuw. Hij was een bekwame kunstenaar die vaak thema's van natuurlijke schoonheid behandelde en landschappen, historische scènes en mythologische onderwerpen afbeelde. Mossa werd ook erkend voor zijn levendige gebruik van kleur en zijn vaardigheid in het vastleggen van licht en sfeer, waardoor zijn werken in zijn tijd bijzonder gewaardeerd werden.

Mossa studeerde aan de École des beaux-arts in Parijs, een prestigieuze instelling die hem hielp zijn artistieke stijl te verfijnen. Hij exposeerde ook op de Salon van de Société des Artistes Français, waar zijn werken erkenning kregen.

Enkele van zijn bekendste werken zijn zijn levendige landschappen en allegorische schilderijen. Hij stond vooral bekend om zijn weergaven van de natuur, evenals zijn mythologische en symbolische werken die een gevoel van romantiek en emotie overbrachten.
