An exquisite Paris porcelain cup and saucer, decorated in polychrome enamels and gold in late 18th to early 19th century Empire style, the front of the cup delicately and precisely painted with harbour scene depicting ships and figures, the back with stylized white and gold flowers on a magenta ground, the handle sculpted with a flower head to the scrolling top and a leaf to the lower connection point. Measurements: The cup measures 11cm in height, the saucer alone measuring 13,8cm in diameter. Combined weight 229g. Estimated age: Circa 1800. Condition: The cup very good, no damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age. The saucer has damage and repair, see pictures. In our estimation this is however a fine piece, worthy of a more professional restoration.
