Buddhist Palm Leaf Manuscript – 19e Eeuw, Sri Lanka/Birma 

Een zeldzaam en historisch palmbladmanuscript uit de 19e eeuw, vermoedelijk afkomstig uit Birma maar uiteindelijk herleid tot Sri Lanka. 

Dit unieke stuk boeddhistisch erfgoed komt uit de familie werd in 1975 naar Nederland mee gebracht.

• Herkomst: Sri Lanka, mogelijk Birma
• Datering: Midden 19e eeuw
• Materiaal: Traditionele palmbladeren met inscripties
• Aantal bladen:

Let op: Het manuscript vertoont enkele beschadigingen, er is mij verteld dat dit veroorzaakt is in de jaren 80 door de hond.
Deze imperfecties doen echter geen afbreuk aan de historische waarde en authenticiteit van het stuk – ze vertellen juist een deel van zijn verhaal.
