Questa anforina in ceramica rossa con decorazioni dorate è un tipico esempio di produzione greca “revival” realizzata ad Atene tra gli anni ’70 e ’90, nello specifico dalla bottega Mykinian, come riportato dalla scritta a mano sul fondo “Mykinian – R. St Constantine Str – Athens – Greece”. 

La forma richiama le antiche oinochoe con corpo ovoidale, piede ad anello, beccuccio versatore a punta e manico ricurvo a nastro. La superficie è decorata a mano con un fregio geometrico a meandro sul collo e con pannelli figurati sul ventre che rappresentano una nave, accompagnata dall’iscrizione greca “ΝΑΥΣ”, e il profilo di una fanciulla, indicata con la scritta “ΚΟΡΗ”. 

L’uso dell’oro e le leggere irregolarità del tratto confermano la decorazione manuale, mentre la foggiatura potrebbe derivare da stampo, pratica comune in queste produzioni artigianali. Lo stato di conservazione è ottimo, con minimi segni del tempo e piccole imperfezioni coerenti con l’età, in particolare nell’attacco del manico. 

Si tratta di un oggetto decorativo e da collezione che unisce il fascino dell’arte classica greca a una realizzazione del XX secolo. 

L'articolo verrà spedito con imballaggio accurato, protetto da pluriball e confezione solida con la scritta “Fragile” per garantirne la massima sicurezza durante il trasporto.
