Very decorative vintage sculptural table lamp with a crane motif, manufactured in Italy and dating to around the 1970s–1980s. The lamp is made of cast metal with an originally silver-plated finish and combines practicality with a distinctly artistic design.
The stylized bird, elegantly posed on an organically shaped base, carries a slender, curved arm that supports the light source. The fine detailing of the plumage and the dynamic stance give the object a strong Hollywood Regency vibe, making the lamp equally at home in a classic as in an eclectic or modern interior.
As expected for an authentic object of this age, there are clearly visible traces of aging and use. In several places, the silvered top layer has partly worn away, revealing the underlying metal. This patina is entirely in line with the object's age and contributes to the charm and authenticity of this vintage lamp.
The lamp is functional, wired and ready for use. The fabric lampshade is finished in a neutral tone and provides warm and atmospheric light (the shade may be from a later date).
