Dit poppenhuis van Morit Gotsschalk weerspiegelt de modernistische trends van de jaren 1950, lichte kleuren, strakke lijnen en mengeling van materialen.  Leuke details in het interieur en de bouwstijl zoals gordijnen, verlichting, zonneluifel en plantenbakken zijn bewaard gebleven. 

Het huis is in goede staat van bewaring en stevig, maar heeft uiteraard gebruikssporen en slijtage.  (zie foto's voor meer informatie)

De firma Moritz Gottschalk was dé toonaangevende Duitse maker van poppenhuizen en miniaturen vanaf de 19e eeuw. Hun ontwerpen, met houten constructies, kleurrijke beschildering en sfeervolle markiezen, behoren tot de meest geliefde onder verzamelaars. Tijdens de oorlog stopte de productie, maar in de jaren daarna startte Gottschalk opnieuw met een reeks charmante modellen in hun herkenbare stijl. Dit huisje is afkomstig uit die periode en ademt nog steeds de nostalgie en verfijning van het klassieke Gottschalk-ontwerp: een rood zadeldak, houten balkon, gestreepte markies en prachtig beschilderde vloer. Een uniek stuk met karakter en geschiedenis – dit huis staat beschreven in vele Gottschalk catalogussen met de modellen van 1950-1960, mooi verzamelobject.
