Zeldzame en elegante Franse Oeil-de-Bœuf-wandklok, ook wel “ossenoogklok” genoemd, vernoemd naar de ronde zolderramen in 18e- en 19e-eeuwse gevels.
De klok is gesigneerd C. Caspar op de geëmailleerde wijzerplaat met handgeschilderde Romeinse cijfers op cartouches. De kast toont fijn parelmoer- en houtinlegwerk in typisch midden-19e-eeuwse stijl.

Binnenin bevindt zich een handgeschreven notitie van de toenmalige eigenaar, pater familias Cirille, met data van overerving binnen de Belgische familie van meubelmakers. De klok heeft zo niet alleen een esthetische, maar ook een genealogische waarde: een tastbaar verslag van bijna twee eeuwen familiegeschiedenis.
Ze overleefde twee wereldoorlogen en behield haar waardige uitstraling, met lichte patina en slijtage passend bij haar leeftijd.

	•	Kast: lichte slijtage rond de rand van de kastopening, kleine retouches aan het fineer.
	•	Wijzerplaat: fraaie patina, enkele ouderdomsvlekjes.
	•	Glas: origineel bol glas, helder.
	•	Mechanisch: uurwerk en gong werken, maar kunnen na transport een nauwkeurige afstelling vereisen.
	•	Sleutel en slinger aanwezig.
