Gien Brouwer (ook wel Gien van de velden genoemd)

geboren 23 maart 1944 te Waddinxveen
De kunstschilder Gien Brouwer woont en werkt in de omgeving van Utrecht. In Rotterdam volgde hij de kunstacademie waarna hij privèles kreeg van Hermanus Jozef Wijngaard.

Zijn grote liefde is schilderen met olieverf op linnen in naturalistische tinten. Deze techniek beheerst hij volledig. De thema's waar hij voor kiest zijn voornamelijk Hollandse landschappen, zoals polder-en rivierlandschappen.
Zijn schilderijen geven dan ook het juiste beeld van een echt Hollands landschap met een dreiging in de lucht of een zomerse dag.

Gien Brouwer exposeerde in Utrecht, Amsterdam ,Venlo,Dùsseldorf,
Frankfurt en Mùnchen. Werk van hem tref je aan in de gerenommeerde Kunsthandel.
