Esta mesa extensible de estilo Georgiano, elaborada a principios del siglo XX, es una pieza que combina elegancia clásica con funcionalidad refinada. Fabricada en madera maciza, probablemente caoba o roble, presenta una estructura sólida y una superficie pulida que resalta la riqueza natural de la veta.

La demarcación de latón en la parte central y lateral no solo cumple una función decorativa, sino que también aporta un toque de distinción. Estas incrustaciones metálicas delinean el contorno del tablero y acentúan la geometría del diseño, evocando el gusto por los detalles propios del mobiliario georgiano.

El mecanismo extensible permite ampliar la superficie de la mesa, adaptándose tanto a reuniones íntimas como a ocasiones más formales. En el centro, se encuentra un cajón discreto con tirador de latón, ideal para guardar cubiertos, mantelería o pequeños objetos de uso cotidiano.

Las patas, posiblemente de tipo cabriolé o rectas con molduras, completan el conjunto con una presencia sobria y equilibrada. Esta mesa no solo refleja el refinamiento de la época, sino que también conserva una funcionalidad que la hace vigente en espacios contemporáneos.
