Belle tête Yoruba du Nigeria représentant un léopard. Le léopard est l'emblème de la ville de Benin City au Nigeria. Le travail est fin et raffiné. L'artiste a su animé son oeuvre. Le visage est expressif, le regard est puissant et perçant. La bouche est dur et menaçante. Belle patine ancienne.
Cette oeuvre fut réalisé avec la technique de la cire perdu (voir Google) ce qui rend l'oeuvre unique. Le metal est fin preuve de l'habileté de l'artiste. Vendu en l'état, voir photo. C'est une belle pièce de collection ancienne. Circa 1950. Socle sur mesure. La datation est donnée à titre indicatif, supportée par notre expérience.
