About the distillery The Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 and sits on the shores of Loch Sunart, in what has to be one of the most spectacular locations of any distillery in the country. The distillery produces two signature styles of spirit, one peated and one unpeated. The spirits are matured in American and European oak, ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon casks. Ardnamuchan Distillery's parent company, Adelphi Distillery, continues to source the rarest and finest single casks of exceptional malt whisky, under the "Adelphi Selection" brands. Other Information This inaugural release from Ardnamurchan was created using a 50:50 split of peated and unpeated spirit. It has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon (65%) and ex-sherry (35%) casks before being bottled at 46.8% ABV
