Rolex - La Scatola in pelle verde codice: 68.00.06 viene usata dal 1988 (nascita del nuovo modello Daytona 16520, meccanismo Zenith) fino al 1994 con la sua contro scatola Moon Crater e, successivamente con la contro scatola Green Stone fino al 1998 circa. 

Ha ospitato al suo interno solo la referenza 16520 Daytona in acciaio meccanismo Zenith, 
forse qualche Submariner 16610.

Questa scatola in asta è un mistero reca il codice: 68.00.06 ma è completamente diversa dalle sue omonime.
Le sue dimensioni sono: 149x65x38 ricorda moltissimo le scatole service degli anni 70/80 ma quelle non recavano codici in uso corrente ma solo codici di servizio oppure nessun codice.
Mi viene da pensare ad un eccesso di Rolex, che abbia creato questa scatola con questo codice per fare il service solo agli orologi Daytona, ma le mie sono solo ipotesi senza supporto. Sono curioso di conoscere il parere dell' esperto.
Comunque la scatola è molto bella ed è in condizioni eccellenti, come si può facilmente osservare dalle foto che fanno parte integrante della descrizione.
Si apre e si chiude bene, l' interno è curatissimo, il panno verde sulla base è fatto in modo da restare sempre in posizione protettiva per l' orologio, non manca nulla, la scatola è completa e originale in ogni particolare, ma priva di contro scatola.
Per molti collezionisti potrebbe essere una ghiottoneria per arricchire la propria collezione.
