Sinéad O'Connor, Dublin, 1966 – London, 2023, was an Irish singer-songwriter and political activist. In this lot you will find her first two albums.
At the end of 1987, The Lion and the Cobra was released; this album was critically acclaimed and produced the singles "Troy," "Mandinka," and "I Want Your (Hands on Me)".
I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got was released at the beginning of 1990, and the single "Nothing Compares 2 U" (written by Prince) marked her breakthrough, partly thanks to the music video (with the tear). With this song, she won a Billboard Music Award for Best Single Worldwide of 1990 (wikipedia).
