Vigri — Tallinn Olympic Games Mascot, 1980

Vintage plush toy representing Vigri, the official mascot of the 1980 Olympic sailing competitions held in Tallinn, Estonia (then part of the USSR).

Vigri, a friendly grey seal, was created as a local mascot to accompany the main Olympic symbol, Misha the bear. The name “Vigri” comes from a small island in the Gulf of Finland.

This soft toy is a charming souvenir from the 1980 Moscow Olympics era — a nostalgic collectible connected to the unique history of the Tallinn sailing events.
