Here we have a wonderful First Edition children’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The book is illustrated by Arthur Rackham, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has attracted a number of stunning visual interpretations ranging from Salvador Dali’s to Yayoi Kusama, but none more influential than those of Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) created in 1907. This has a green cloth cover with black lettering and vignette on the spine, black lettering and gilt vignette on the front. There is a small black motif in the middle of the back of the book. Endpapers illustrated by Rackham in green. There are 12 full colour illustrations with captioned tissue guards and numerous black line drawings. A very good copy with some fading to the copy very little foxing throughout. The spine is good some denting to top and bottom see photographs.. All colour pictures are in very good condition with all the tissue covers intact. Please view all images as these form part of the description. This has been stored in a cupboard since the purchase 6 years ago. Overall a superb copy of this iconic book. Has a dedication as a Christmas present gifted in 1907.
