About Gottfried Honegger & Constructivism
Gottfried Honegger (1917–2016) was a central figure in 20th-century Constructivism and geometric abstraction. His art is often characterized by harmonious balance, mathematical structure, and a fascination with color and form. His contributions align with the broader Constructivist and Concrete Art movements that merged geometry and artistic abstraction.

Gottfried Honegger was influenced by the principles of the De Stijl movement and the Bauhaus school.

Honegger’s artistic dialogues resonate with fellow Constructivist and Concrete artists including Max Bill, Camille Graeser, Verena Loewensberg, Richard Paul Lohse, Josef Albers, and Georges Vantongerloo. His influence extends across Swiss, German, Belgian, and Dutch abstraction, connecting with peers and movements that shaped modern visual culture. This includes artists such as Otto Freundlich, Anton Stankowski, Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart, Josef Müller-Brockmann, Jan Schoonhoven, Ad Dekkers, Bram van Velde, Marthe Wéry, Guy Vandenbranden, Jo Delahaut, and Marc Mendelsohn. His refined aesthetic also converses with later generations of minimal and optical abstraction, echoed in the work of Imi Knoebel, Günther Förg, Heinz Mack, François Morellet, and Vera Molnár.

Condition:
Very good overall condition. Colours are vivid and the paper is clean. two tiny pinpoint hole (less than 0.5 mm) is visible near the top edge and botton.
