Antique Islamic Carnelian Pendant with Silver Mount – Hand-Engraved “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim”

A remarkable Islamic pendant featuring a finely carved carnelian (aqeeq) stone inscribed in elegant Arabic calligraphy with the sacred phrase “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim” (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).

The stone displays a beautiful deep orange-red hue, typical of natural Yemeni or Anatolian carnelian, and is securely set in a silver (alpaca silver) frame with refined hand-crafted details. The calligraphy is meticulously engraved by hand, showcasing the high level of artistry and devotion of its maker.

Such pendants were traditionally worn for spiritual protection, blessings, and as expressions of faith, often attached to rosaries, chains, or prayer accessories during the late Ottoman and early 20th-century Islamic period.
