This is an exceptional, unusual antique mirror that was crafted in the Alps region of France, circa 1880. The whimsical mirror features a large eagle sculpture with wings and tail.
 The bird features exquisite and detailed carvings on the wings, plumage and claw feet. The Black Forest mirror is in excellent condition.

It is of amazing quality, and it is a lovely petite size. There is exquisite carving throughout, depicting swallows, pine cones and leaves; the glass has a bevelled edge.
We have had this re-polished; the condition is excellent, with just some minor wear remaining here and there.
