Imposante et puissante statuette Tchamba ou Losso du nord du Togo. Le personnage a une présence indéniable, une force ancienne et primaire s'en dégage. C'est un objet vivant et vibrant. L'alchimie entre les forces invisibles des esprits et la main créatrice du sculpteur a parfaitement opéré. 
Le personnage semble ancré au sol dans une posture assuré. Il nous toise avec son regard dur et perçant. Son corps en tension, bien en avant, accentue cette sensation de défiance et d'arrogance. Il connait sa force et ne se laissera pas intimider. La sculpture est parfaite, le traitement des volumes et audacieux, dynamique et harmonieux. Le sculpteur a mis tous son art dans cette oeuvre. Une belle pièce de collection rare, ancienne et authentique. Circa 1950.
