Description from the seller

Two ropes of each with 80 colourful glass beads. originally produced in Bohemia (Czech republic) in the 1960-70`s especially for the Malinese market, where they were very popular with the Fulani people. They were given as a matrimonial gift, hence their name "wedding beads". Very different colours and designs. A few art deco beads are included as are so-called "claw" beads, making these ropes quite special. Some dirt and wear and tear is visible, due to their intens use. Collected in the city of Mopti in the late 1990`s.
