Shunji Dodo etc - Chihei Vol.2 - 1972

Chihei Vol.2 Shunji Dodo etc Chihei/1972/Japanese/180*250*5 This book is the second issue of the photography zine ‘Chihei / 地平’, published over five years from 1972, totaling ten issues. Inspired by ‘Provoke’ around 1970, photographers repeatedly questioned themselves, “What is photography?” and “What is the act of taking pictures?” They sought to publish their work outside camera magazines (off-magazine publishing). In the 1970s, photographers began publishing their own collections in magazine form, resembling photo books or zines. Among these, ‘Chihei’ stood out for its exceptional quality, achieved through the members' dedication and five years of continuous effort, earning it high acclaim. Centered around core members like Shunji Dodo and Koichi Kurokuma, who were instructors at Osaka School of Photography (Visual Arts College, Osaka), this issue features contributions from Masahito Endo, Makoto Kawamoto, Masashi Segawa, Masahide Takamatsu, Takashi Nakagawa, Hiroshi Nomura, Yoshihiro Yuguchi, and Jūzō Hanashiro, in addition to the two aforementioned individuals.
