Gateleg Tafel
De tafel op de afbeeldingen is een gateleg tafel, in het Nederlands ook wel een hangoortafel of klaptafel genoemd. Dit type tafel is herkenbaar aan een smal vast blad in het midden en één of twee scharnierende bladen aan de zijkant. Deze zijbladen kunnen omlaag worden geklapt om de tafel compacter te maken. Wanneer de bladen worden uitgeklapt, worden ze ondersteund door draaibare poten die als een poortje ('gate') openklappen. 
De gateleg tafel ontstond in de 16e eeuw in Engeland en was in de 17e en 18e eeuw erg populair, De oudste varianten werden meestal van eikenhout gemaakt en hadden vaak een ovale, ronde, rechthoekige of achthoekige vorm. 

Materiaal: De tafel is gemaakt van massief eikenhout.
Stijl: De gedraaide poten in rustieke barokstijl duiden op historisch vakmanschap.
Functionaliteit: De tafel is door de klapbladen flexibel in gebruik; compact wanneer ingeklapt en ruim wanneer uitgeklapt. 
Deze tafels worden gewaardeerd om hun historische waarde en ruimtebesparende ontwerp, waardoor ze in verschillende interieurs passen.
