Ben Nevis 2014 8yo + Dalmunach 2016 7yo - 700ml - 2 bottles

Ben Nevis 8 years - 2014/2023 - Signatory Vintage, 46%, 700ml The Ben Nevis 8 Year Old from Signatory Vintage, distilled in 2014 and matured until 2023, is a superb example of the craftsmanship of whiskymaking. Bottled from second-fill Oloroso sherry butts, this whisky offers an authentic tasting experience without the use of artificial colorings or chill filtration. Aroma: Opens with a scent of fresh fruit, accompanied by a pleasant maritime breeze. Earthy notes mingle with sweet caramel, creating a complex and inviting aroma. Taste: On the palate, the whisky is balanced and complex. Intense fruit notes combine with spicy-sweet malt and a fresh fruitiness of orange zest. Oak and ginger add a spicy contrast that enriches the taste experience. Finish: The finish is medium-long, leaving a lasting impression of spicy oak and roasted nuts. Dalmunach 2016/2023 - 7 years Ximénez-Spinola PX Cask Finish, 48,5%, 700ml This delicious whisky is made from malted barley and water. Completely smoke-free, this whisky envelops your palate. A brilliant 48.5% ABV brings the aromas to life. The Dalmunach shows its true color, as no artificial aids were used – the beautiful amber color developed naturally through cask aging. With this bottle, you are holding a 2016 vintage. It was bottled in 2023, meaning it was only aged for seven years. Therefore, it is less complex than older bottlings – yet still an exciting pleasure. This whisky was not bottled by Dalmunach itself, but by independent bottler Murray McDavid. Aroma: The aroma of fresh dates and chocolate pralines blends with creamy malt. Palate: Pleasant entry with notes of juicy yeast cake, dark berries, candied oranges, cinnamon, peeled almonds, and dark caramel. Finish: Finishes with lingering accents of sweetened fruit muesli and soft caramel.
