Ce type de bouclier était le plus souvent collecté chez les Ngbandi. Certains exemplaires arborent une peau de chat sauvage en son centre, tandis que d'autres sont dotés d'un disque de fer protecteur pour protéger la poignée. Bien que dépourvu de ces ornements, celui-ci arbore des motifs plus géométriques que la plupart de ses pairs (Baur & Elsen, Guba : Wicker Shields from the Congo Basin, 2002).
