Ford Mustang Fastback 1966

HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Deze 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback is in 2019 geïmporteerd uit Kaysville, Utah (Verenigde Staten). Vervolgens is gerestaureerd, waarbij onder meer het lakwerk opnieuw is gespoten en de motor en versnellingsbak zijn gereviseerd. Verder zijn veel onderdelen vernieuwd, maar het interieur is zo origineel mogelijk gehouden. Hierdoor verkeert de auto is zeer goede conditie, blijkt ook uit het taxatierapport uit 2022. Bij de auto zijn veel (onderhouds)facturen aanwezig. De auto is sinds 2021 op Nederlands kenteken gerestaureerd. 

EXTERIEUR
In woorden is bijna niet uit te drukken hoe gaaf deze Mustang is! De 1966 Fastback is waarschijnlijk de mooiste Mustang ooit gebouwd, bovendien is dit exemplaar ook nog eens perfect uitgevoerd in 'Gunmetal Grey' metallic lakwerk met zwarte racestrepen. Het lakwerk is in uitstekende conditie zonder beschadigingen. Velgen maken de auto, en dus zijn schitterende 15" 'American Racing' velgen gemonteerd. Uiteraard in uitstekende staat, en voorzien van goede BF Goodrich Radial T/A banden. Ook het chroomwerk en de verlichting van de auto zijn eveneens zeer gaaf en fris te noemen. 

INTERIEUR
Het interieur is (grotendeels) origineel en verkeert in goede staat. De bekleding is uitgevoerd in zwart skai-leer. De bestuurders kijkt uit over het kenmerkende houten/aluminium stuurwiel en diepe wijzertellers. Ook is er een rally pack gauge cluster set geplaatst met een tachometer en klokje. Een moderne 'Retrosound' radio met klassieke looks is gemonteerd, voorzien van een USB-aansluiting, bluetooth en twee extra speakers in de schutpanelen. Het interieur vormt een ideale combinatie van comfort, originaliteit en klassieke looks. Bovendien is de Mustang een 2+2, waardoor 4 personen kunnen genieten van de rijervaring van de Mustang. 

TECHNISCH
Mede doordat de motor en versnellingsbak zijn gereviseerd rijdt deze Mustang fantastisch. De '289' 4.7-liter V8-motor levert 225 pk en loopt en klinkt fantastisch. De motor is voorzien van een Edelbrock 4 Barrel valstroomcarburateur. Het uitlaatsysteem is vervangen door een hoogwaardig systeem met chromen uiteinden. De handgeschakelde 4-versnellingsbak schakelt soepel en naar behoren. De rembekrachtiger en remschijven aan de voorzijde zijn vernieuwd. Ook de onderzijde van de auto is fris en vernieuwd.
