The body construction is sturdy, with a metal top plate and textured grip covering, designed to withstand decades of use. Despite its compact size, it feels solid and perfectly balanced in hand. This was built at a time when Konica was pushing toward optical excellence, competing head-to-head with Canon and Minolta, and the SII proved that they could create cameras just as precise and dependable.. The color reproduction is warm yet natural — a classic Konica signature. Wide open, it produces a dreamy softness ideal for portraits, while stopped down it becomes extremely sharp and detailed. The lens glass is clear, with no haze or fungus, providing crisp, balanced optics. The focusing is smooth, and the aperture blades are snappy. The body operates correctly through all shutter speeds. I took the pictures in natural light so you can notice a few dust particles within the viewfinder — normal for its age. These haven’t impacted shooting performance. I feel it's time to find her a new home with someone that can take care of her and put her to good use.
