Antieke smeedijzeren ornamentale speerpunt – 19e eeuw

Beschrijving

Een fraaie, handgesmede ijzeren ornamentale speerpunt, vermoedelijk afkomstig van een hekwerk of monumentale poort.
Het stuk is rijk gedecoreerd met krullen en uitgesneden vormen in barok/rococo stijl en eindigt aan beide zijden in een spits punt.
De zware patina en oxidatie geven het object een authentieke uitstraling.

Materiaal: smeedijzer

Periode: 18e–19e eeuw

Herkomst: waarschijnlijk West-Europa (mogelijk Frankrijk of Nederland)

Conditie: goede antieke staat, duidelijke sporen van ouderdom en roestvorming, passend bij de leeftijd

Afmetingen:
Lengte ca. 67 cm
Breedte ca. 8 cm

Opmerking: Dit type ornament werd gebruikt als versiering én beveiliging op hekken en poorten van herenhuizen en kerken. Tegenwoordig ook geliefd als decoratief wandobject of verzamelstuk.
