渡辺石華 Watanabe Sekka (1894-1966) Born in Kyoto in 1894, his real name was Shōjirō. He aspired to become a painter at a young age and entered the studio of Shōda Kakuyu. Later, resonating with the painting style of Hirai Baisen, he became a guest artist at the same studio. He specialized in paintings depicting the four seasons of Kyoto.
