Grote ovale spanen doos, handgemaakt uit gebogen hout met een deksel.
Deze dozen werden in de 19e en vroege 20e eeuw veel gebruikt als verpakking van handelswaar en bij postverzendingen.
Kenmerkend zijn de gebogen houten wanden, houten penverbindingen en de fijn gezaagde bodem en deksel.

Aan de bovenzijde is een merkstempel “CAG” aangebracht, naast resten van rode zegellak, wat erop wijst dat de doos ooit verzegeld is geweest voor transport of handelsdoeleinden.
Het interieur toont de originele constructie met houten pinnen en gebogen fineer, typerend voor ambachtelijke Nederlandse houtbewerking uit deze periode.

Een fraai en authentiek voorbeeld van vroeg industrieel verpakkingsmateriaal dat vandaag de dag gewaardeerd wordt als decoratief en historisch object.

Conditie:
Goede staat – gebruiks- en ouderdomssporen, kleine scheurtjes bij het scharnier, sporen van oude zegellak en lichte verkleuring passend bij de leeftijd.

Hoogte: 17 cm.
Breedte: 45,5 cm.
Diepte: 28 cm.
Gewicht: 1,1 kg.

De kavel wordt zorgvuldig verpakt en aangetekend, verzekerd verzonden met een track-en-tracé-nummer.
