First edition of this beautifully illustrated calendar. Each month comes with a fairy tale that is printed with a decorative frame in gold and grey and a framed full-page colour illustration on the opposite page. This calendar was the first of a series that ran with some interruptions from 1911-1922. Rubbing, bumping, wear, and some soiling and tears to the printed wrappers. The spine of the wrapper is quite chipped, and the front and back flaps are partially loose. The title page is fully loose. Pencil markings on the title page. Pencil inscription on the verso of the back wrapper. Some creasing to the top of many pages. The interior is bright, the text is clear, and the illustrations are vibrant, and in excellent condition. Overall, a copy in fair+ condition.
