Gut/sehr gut erhaltenes rundes Bronze Wandrelief aus der Zeit des Klassizismus um 1800. Es nimmt Bezug auf die altgriechische Prometheus-Sage. Dargestellt ist der an Fels gekettete Prometheus in Erwartung des ihn täglich quälenden, von Zeus geschickten Adlers(siehe Internet).
Das Relef hat einen Durchmesser von 32,5cm, es ist konvex gewölbt mit einer Höhe von 5,5cm.
Rückseitig gibt es eine Wandaufhängung.Sie stammt aus der Zeit um 1900 und ist nachträglich angebracht worden.
Rückseitig ist ein erhabenes M zu sehen- vielleicht eine Giessermarke.
Original antike Wandskulptur in gepflegtem Zustand. Gewicht ca. 3 Kg.
