Mystic Tide (EVA 12037) made in France 1983 reissue compilation LP of ultra-rare 60's USA 45's | vinyl: NM (mint-) | cover: NM (mint-) - Folk Rock, Garage Rock, Psychedelic Rock. The E-Types -- The E-Types (also known as The "E" Types) were an American garage rock band formed in Salinas, California, in 1965. The group's sound combined striking three-part vocal harmonies and Jody Wence's jangling keyboards, with professional production techniques that were outside of the garage band norm. During the E-Types' recording career, the band released five singles, including their most notable record "Put the Clock Back on the Wall". Although the band was short-lived, the E-Types had a profound presence in San Francisco's live scene The Mystic Tide -- American psychedelic garage rock band from Long Island, NY, active from 1966-67. Released five singles on their own labels Esquire Records and Solid Sound, mostly for distribution at their gigs. The group didn't have much success while active, but found a greater audience when their singles were reissued for psych/garage collectors in the 1980s 2. The Swamp Rats -- Garage rock group from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Also known as Bob Hocko and the Swamp Rats. They released a number of singles in 1966 & 67, the band achieved regional success with singles cover versions of popular songs. Their material is considered one of the earliest examples of proto-punk, which has led to re-releases of their work. Unrelated Segments -- Garage rock band from Taylor, Michigan, USA. Released three 7-inches in 1967/68. Local support act for MC5, The Who, The Spencer Davis Group amongst others. 3. The Woolies – Basic Rock (EVA 12054) made in France 1985 reissue LP of 1970 album | vinyl: NM (mint-) | cover: NM (mint-) - Blues Rock, Garage Rock, Pop Rock. The Woolies -- Another hot act in the ‘60s Lansing scene was the Woolies. The band saw national success and worked with Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, Stevie Wonder and Chuck Berry. While most local bands were digging the British Invasion, Baldori said the Woolies, which also included the younger Baldori brother, Jeff, were more influenced by the roots of American music. “We were locked into early blues,” Baldori said. “We did a lot of Robert Johnson and Chicago, urban rhythm and blues. Basic rock is what we called it.”
