Set of Two Brass Candelabras – Octagonal Base – Late 19th Century
A beautiful and characterful pair of brass candelabras, crafted around the end of the 19th century, in the distinctive knop- or tulip baluster style with an octagonal base. This elegant form is typical of England, a period when hand-turning and casting still gave each piece its artisanal character.
Description:

Material: solid brass
Design: baluster shaft with knop-shaped middle section; octagonal base with a slightly raised rim
Construction: sand-cast with manual finishing; underside shows rough cast surface with traces of oxidation
