Mars The YA - Yakushima Japanese Spring - 700ml

1 bottle MARS The YA Yakushima Japanese Spring Distilled at Komagatake Distillery and Tsunuki Distillery Matured at Yakushima Aging Cellar 700ml, 49% vol. Yakushima Japanese Spring is a tropical and maritime whiskey produced in small batches from the single malts of the two Mars distilleries : Komagatake and Tsunuki. It is aged mainly in bourbon barrels, on the tropical island of Yakushima with many rivers, forests and mountains. The island of Yakushima has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. The climate is warm and tropical with high humidity. This extreme climate gives Mars a different ageing environment from Komagatake and Tsunuki with a higher share of angels. Spring in Japan is synonymous with radiant weather and cherry blossoms. It is often the favourite period of the Japanese and also that of the Mars whiskey house, recognised for the production of its single malts. Flowering begins in the south, at the end of March to go up the archipelago to the north. The three sites of ageing of Mars are gradually adorned with pink flowers: first on the island of Yakushima, where a tropical and maritime whiskey ages; then continues in Tsunuki whose distillery produces a deep and energetic whiskey and ends further north at the Komagatake distillery, offering a fruity and elegant whiskey, where this panorama of pink and white accompanies the melting of the snow. The climate is softening in the cities and the countryside, offering locals the opportunity to meet in the parks to contemplate this subjugating spectacle. The concept of hanami (literally, "looking at the flowers") refers to this traditional Japanese custom of appreciating the beauty of flowers. This limited edition Mars Japanese Spring honours the three ageing sites of Mars with three distinct whiskies, in order to appreciate the different facets of this special season. It should be noted that on some of the barrels used, the original barrel heads have been replaced by cherry barrel heads. Mars thus offers us a unique trio, worthy of its name "Japanese Spring ", to taste the Japanese spring, all year round. Please note that : -Every bottle in my personal collection is cleaned by hand -Shipments are made with appropriate protection to reduce the risk of damage. Please look carefully at the photos to see the condition of the product. -Bottle number may be different because I have several bottles of this excellent whisky, all in perfect condition. Kampaï !
