Het object in de afbeelding is een vintage anatomisch model van een kniegewricht, vaak aangeduid als een "Geigy-model" of "Voltaren Geigy"-model.

Oorsprong: Deze modellen zijn gemaakt door het farmaceutische bedrijf Geigy, dat later fuseerde tot Ciba-Geigy en vervolgens Novartis.

Doel: Ze werden gebruikt als promotieartikel voor het medicijn Voltaren, dat wordt gebruikt om pijn en ontsteking in gewrichten te behandelen.

Materiaal en uiterlijk: De modellen zijn meestal gemaakt van een harde hars of plastic en worden vaak gevonden in een set met andere anatomische modellen, zoals een heup of wervelkolom. Ze staan bekend om hun gedetailleerde, levensgrote weergave van de botstructuur van het kniegewricht.
