A collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's most representative photographers of the 20th century, titled “Love Stories (Signed)”. This volume compiles particularly striking selections from the “Photographs” and ‘Words’ featured in Araki's serialized column “Explanation of Love” (renamed “Explanation of Love 2” from 2012) in the magazine ‘Voce’. The magazine, launched in 1998, presented beauty as entertainment. Araki's column ran from the November 2001 issue through December 2020, spanning approximately 20 years. “Rather than a ‘photography collection,’ it's more like a ‘photographic anthology.’ We toned down the explanatory feel from the serialized version, and since flipping through the pages creates the illusion of being showered by Araki's words, we titled it ‘Love Stories.’ Everything is an intimate ‘love story.’ A ‘bouquet’ of love from Araki” (from the preface).
