Limited edition of only 175 copies of this illustrated collection of poems by Novalis, this being No. 54, signed by the illustrator Felix Meseck in pencil on the printer’s colophon page. Comes with 10 beautiful original etchings by Felix Meseck, the first etching is also signed by the illustrator. Rubbing, bumping, soiling, and wear to the boards and spine. Pencil markings on the front free endpaper and the back pastedown endpaper. The pages before the title page have a large crease in them (see photos), and the second to the last etching has a small crease in the bottom right corner. Browning, spotting and some smudging throughout. The text is clear, the etchings are crisp, and the binding is solid. Overall, a copy in good condition.
