Rococo Style Door handle - Circa 1900 - Antique brass door handle

Antique brass door handle set – c. 1890–1915 – from an old house in the northern Netherlands – solid cast brass Beautiful antique brass door handle set, originating from an old house in the northern Netherlands, dating from around 1900. Crafted from solid cast brass, featuring a warm, natural patina that highlights its authentic character and age. The two elegantly curved handles are richly decorated with floral Neo-Rococo motifs, complete with matching three-hole rosettes and an 8 mm square spindle. This type of hardware was commonly found in farmhouses and manor houses across the northern Netherlands at the end of the 19th century. A fine example of Dutch craftsmanship — solid, detailed, and beautifully proportioned — now rarely seen in its original state. Perfect for restoration projects, reuse, or as a decorative historical accent. ⸻ Details • Period: c. 1890–1915 • Style: Neo-Rococo / early Art Nouveau • Origin: Old house, northern Netherlands • Material: Solid cast brass • Finish: Original, unpolished patina ⸻ Dimensions • Total width (assembled): approx. 17 cm • Handle length: 12 cm • Depth: 6 cm • Rosette diameter: 5 cm • Spindle size: 0.8 cm (square) • Weight: approx. 800 grams total ⸻ Good antique condition, with light traces of age and use consistent with its history. No cracks or breaks. Original patina preserved — not polished. • 100% original, not a reproduction • Early three-hole rosette model (rarer than later two-hole versions) • Authentic northern Dutch provenance • Excellent example of late 19th-century Dutch craftsmanship and design
