The Doors were a highly influential American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, featuring vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They were known for their psychedelic rock sound, controversial lyrics, and Morrison's charismatic stage presence, becoming one of the most iconic and controversial bands of the 1960s.
